One of the first things we decided was that the Flex system must fulfill the promises we made to our Kodiak and Apex customers for a Lithium expansion battery. We had to keep this promise; but at the same time, this promise was the first time we underestimated the task at hand. Engineering the Flex Battery to communicate with and autobalance with the Kodiak, Apex and the new Flex platforms was more complicated and took longer than we anticipated. We believe our engineering team is the best in this space, so they did figure it out, but the hardware and software engineering necessary to make this triple compatibility a reality was definitely a challenge.
