Flex Modular System Delivery Update

Dear Inergy Family,

First of all, we sincerely thank each and every one of you who has secured your Flex order with a deposit. You’re at the front of the line to get one of these groundbreaking products. Now that we are beginning mass production, we have encountered some delays caused by the global COVID-19 pandemic.

We won’t sugar coat it. The Flex Modular System is delayed up to 90 days, with orders shipping in January. As we started mass producing the Flex Modular System, we have been hit by a sudden global shortage of LG battery cells. We have been working night and day with our suppliers to overcome this obstacle. We will compensate you for this delay (see below).

There was real potential for disruptions in our supply chain during the pandemic, so we decided to enact the 20% deposit program, which gives you more flexibility than a traditional crowd-funding campaign. Now we have realized the best solution is to broaden our battery supplier base. We are engaging with another global manufacturing leader, Samsung, to increase our ability to combat the global battery cell shortage. This planwill not change the specifications or performance of the Flex Modular System, but it does require extensive testing and certification, which will take extra time.

We will do everything we can to shorten this delay as much as possible. Please stay tuned for further updates. We will be able to provide exact shipping dates to you by October 1. Our suppliers will recover from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, and you will soon be enjoying your Flex Modular System.
