Orem, Utah, October 11, 2023 – Inergy(www.inergytek.com),a global leader in adaptable and user-friendly renewable energy storage solutions, proudly unveiled its Flex Solar Generator solutions during Colombia’s prestigious Virtual Technology Showcase on Portable and Rechargeable Battery Systems on September 22, 2023. This event, co-hosted by the U.S. Commercial Service and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in Colombia, represents a pivotal opportunity to identify top-tier U.S. suppliers of Portable and Rechargeable Battery Systems for the USAID Energy for Peace (E4P) program.
Energy for Peace, a USAID initiative, seeks to provide reliable, affordable, and sustainable renewable energy through solar mini grids to enhance productivity, production, and revenue in remote off-grid communities in Colombia, particularly those with substantial productive clusters.
"In the spirit of our 2022 visit to Colombia as part of the U.S. Department of Commerce Trade Mission to South America, Inergy is delighted to continue its collaboration with the U.S. Commercial Service in identifying projects in Colombia that can harness the benefits of Inergy's off-grid solar energy solutions for rural areas," stated Sean Luangrath, CEO of Inergy. "Our renewable energy products hold significant potential for enhancing energy reliability in these underserved markets, driven by their high demand."
Colombia's government has recently intensified its focus on energy matters, introducing incentives and targeted measures to promote non-conventional renewable energy sources and energy efficiency, particularly in the more than 1,000 non-interconnected areas (off-grid) throughout the country.
Inergy stands out as one of the five leading companies selected for its ability to transport its systems over rural roads, addressing the energy needs of productive, agricultural, and household sectors while allowing for recharging at centralized solar mini grids. During the event, Inergy virtually presented its innovative solution to key Colombian government authorities, including representatives from the Ministry of Mines and Energy, the Institute of Planning and Promotion of Energy Solutions for Off-Grid Areas (IPSE), the Land Renewal Agency (ART), and rural energy distributors, along with USAID Colombia contractors and the USAID Colombia project management team.
"Inergy eagerly anticipates further collaboration with Colombia's energy leaders to devise affordable and sustainable strategies that empower rural off-grid communities across the country," emphasized Luangrath. "Our commitment to providing renewable, reliable power to those in need worldwide remains unwavering."
