Inergy Looking to Help Governments With Their Solar and Rural Electrification Efforts Through Its Off-Grid, Renewable Power Technologies
Pocatello, Idaho, May 18, 2022 – Inergy (www.inergytek.com), provider of the world’s most adaptable and easy-to-use renewable energy storage solutions, is participating this week with the U.S. Department of Commerce Trade Mission to South America. Organized by the Trade Americas Team (U.S. Commercial Service, U.S. Department of Commerce), the 2022 Trade Mission to South America program offers U.S. Companies the opportunity to explore markets in South America. Sean Luangrath, CEO of Inergy, is visiting Brazil, Peru and Colombia to meet with pre-screened potential buyers, agents, and distributors in these markets.
“Inergy is proud to work with the U.S. Department of Commerce to identify projects in Brazil, Peru and Colombia that can benefit from Inergy’s off-grid solar energy in rural areas and projects,” said Sean Luangrath, CEO of Inergy. “Inergy’s renewable energy products have great potential to improve the energy reliability of these areas due to the demand in these markets.”
The Brazilian, Peruvian and Colombian governments have become increasingly focused on energy issues and the promotion of renewable energy. Brazil has a goal to have 100 percent of the population with access to the public electricity service by 2030. The Colombian government introduced incentives and specific measures to promote non-conventional renewable energy and energy efficiency in the country since there are more than 1,000 zones that are non-interconnected areas (off-grid).
The Peruvian government has a goal of 15 percent production with renewable energy by 2030 and is currently designing the next stage of its program for isolated, rural areas that will benefit 100,000 more homes. The first stage provided electricity via solar panels to 205,138 rural homes, 191 health posts and 2349 schools, communal premises, churches, among others.
“Inergy looks forward to meeting with energy leaders in these countries to discuss strategies for expanding our business while contributing energy solutions in a way each market needs,” said Luangrath. “Inergy is committed to its ongoing effort to help people improve their lives with renewable, reliable power.”
