Why is the price of the Flex increasing?

There are a number of factors that are contributing to increased costs all around.

As tired as we all are of hearing about it, COVID-19-related supply chain issues are still a major factor. Microprocessors, semiconductors, lithium cells, even LCD screens, are still in short supply; international shipping is still experiencing delays and price increases; domestic shipping costs have also increased.

In addition, the U.S. is currently experiencing a 40-year high in the inflation rate, which is driving up the costs of all consumer products.

The effects of other global situations, such as tensions in Ukraine, Canadian trucking and farmer protests, and an ongoing trade war with China are being felt in the supply chain.

In short, the world is getting more expensive, and we’re starting to see those effects on the Flex. As much as we want to keep the price the same, there’s no getting around it anymore. The price of the Flex has to increase to deal with industry-wide cost increases.

Will the price increase affect my existing order(s) that haven’t shipped?

No. The price increase will go into effect on February 28th at 11:59 pm mountain standard time. It will only affect new orders placed after that time.

What if I have a remaining balance?

Your remaining balance will not be affected by the price increase.

Does this mean another delay?

No, your order shipping timelines will remain the same as mentioned in our last email update to you.

Will prices increase again down the road?

Despite our best efforts, the global supply chain situation is still unknown moving forward. That said, we work hard to secure high-quality parts while keeping your cost consistent. We don’t anticipate any further price changes in the near future.

Will I be paying more for shipping?

The price increase of the Flex takes into account the rising cost of domestic shipping so, at this time, your price for shipping will remain the same.
